Where in the world would I go???????

                                                                    South Africa

                                                               Where I was bron.....

This is a map of South Africa

First I would go to Johannesburg because that is where I used to live and where all of my family is. We would visit my family and friends.

                                                             The city of Johannesburg

After Johannesburg we would go to Sun City, The Valley of Waves. At Sun City they have a huge wave pool and lots of fun water rides.

                                                                            Sun City

Then we would go to the Kruger National Park . We would do a game drive were you can see the big 5. ( Lion, Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard and Elephant)

                                                             The Kruger National Park

On the last part of our adventure we would go to Cape Town which is by the sea. Cape town also has Table Mountain that you can climb or go up on a cable car. At the top of the mountain you can see a beautiful view of the whole city!

                                                               The city of Cape Town

Scorpion

I love the rainforest.
The air helps me to breathe.
And sometimes I crawl in the leaves
But you don’t want to feel my bite.
I creep on people.
Now I’m bigger,
I eat insects and I blend
Into the leaves.

Number 16

My number is a sixteen.

There are 16 rods.
 This means I'm turning 16.

                                                            16 is a square number

 This is a factor tree:
 2x2x2x2=16
or
 4x4=16.

She stayed for lunch and we turkey and lots of nice desert.
We played twister and went rollerblading. Together we learnt how to do new tricks on our rollerblades. It was a great Christmas.

NATO phonetic alphabet

Me and my dad have been learning the NATO phonetic alphabet in the car.

The NATO phonetic alphabet is used in radio communication to make sure you don't make mistakes.

For example, Holly = Hotel Oscar Lima Lima Yankee.

Factors of sixty

After making a giant sixty-factor thing with Cuisenaire rods on Monday, Gabrielle, Marie and Rose were determined to make their own record of what they'd created. We had to stick some squared paper sheets together to make it big enough. They've added a few lines of rods of lengths we don't actually have, giving them new colours!
(Girls, I tidied it up a tiny bit, and turned it on its side so that it fits on the page!)

Can you see, there are still some factors of sixty missing? Do you know what they are?

How did there come to be sixty seconds in a minute, and sixty minutes in an hour? Apparently, it goes back a long way. Have a look at this video:

Ella's adventure

A long time ago there was a girl named Ella. She went on adventure every summer and in the winter she stayed in a tunnel. Ella did not have games and toys so she painted pictures on the walls. She also made elephant bulls and all kinds of stuff. It was summer time so she went on one of her favourite adventures, it was climbing up rocks. When she got to the top she could see everything from up there. Ella could see her tunnel and on it a picture of an elephant. It looked so beautiful but it was getting dark so had to go home.
