Wabi Sabi : Our Autumn Haiku 2

4G went on a haiku-walk to look at some of the trees.
Wet lavender dripping,
Lime trees with bugs crawling up,
But leaves falling down.

Marie
Big round olive tree,
Small cylinders all around:
Delicious olives!

Rod

Bugs trot on rough leaves;
Nights longer and days shorter
Soft, rough and dry leaves.

Gracia

Bumpy, rough and dry,
Spiky grass in the cold wind.
Lazy branches fall.

Annie

Purple lavender
Very old and bumpy trunk
Japanese maple

Anabel

A red bug's running
Up and around on a log:
Japanese maples.

Gabrielle
Spiky balls hanging
On a thin branch of maple
With colourful leaves.

Rose

Wind making leaves blow,
Flowers turn to seeds in June,
Leaves turned into tea.

Holly

Wind blowing, leaves fall,
Spiky balls hang on branches,
With colourful leaves.

Noah

The lime trees as hard as
Steel; A nest with plenty of
Good food for nature.

James

Sometimes green or red
Bugs coloured orange, red and black,
Go down the grey stem.

Justus and Samyak
(We'd read the book Wabi Sabi together, and this helped us with the feel of the haiku poems.)
