Huon Astrapia


Name:  Huon Astrapia


Colour: The Male Huon Astrapia is more coloured than the female. He has black feathers apart from a blue part on its head, a purple-green tail and a lime green tummy. The female has blackish-brown feathers.


Size: The Huon Astrapia is approximately 69 cm long for the male but the female is smaller.


Diet: Some birds of paradise eat insects, some eat fruits and some eat both. The Huon Astrapia , being a herbivore,  eats fruits and seeds.


Habitat: The Huon Astrapia lives in the mountain rain forests of Paupa New Guinea.


These species are not endangered or extinct.
