Two weeks ago my mum gave us a poster with a kiwi on it. It was cut in half and you could see the inside of the bird (a bit like this picture), which showed the inside of a kiwi fruit. It was a clever and funny poster and I really liked it.
I looked up the kiwi in the internet and found out that the kiwi is a flightless bird native to New Zealand. At around the size of a domestic chicken, kiwis are by far the smallest living flightless birds (others are like ostriches, emus and penguins). They lay the largest egg in relation to their body size of any species of bird in the world. Kiwis are already endangered. Today they try to protect them in national parks.

The kiwi is a national symbol of New Zealand and now you can click here to find out how the Kiwi looks!
They're funny looking birds aren't they! Thanks for posting this, Justus!
