The Bengal Tiger

I track my prey,
I walk slowly, carefully,
I hunt my precious, delicious meal.
I stalk through trees,
I keep thinking about my dinner,
The vines don't distract me
For that I am a big, strong tiger.

When I was younger I used to play to get strong,
Me and my brothers would bite each others tails,
But my sisters, they were scaredy cats,
They were scared, terrified cats.

But now that I am bigger, stronger
I fight with other tigers,
I save the little ones,
I am the hero who saves the day!
The baddies I fight,
I try to do the best I can.

The water is fresh, I like it that way,
I love to swim,
I paddle every day,
It makes me happy
It makes me fresh.

  1. I enjoyed this poem, Macy. It's got a good, tigery pace to it!
