Cricket and Me
I started playing cricket when I was 5 years old. I used to play cricket ever weekend with my father. On the first day, I couldn't catch a single ball. My father then taught me to catch. Next, he taught me how to bat. The next time we played, I was a lot better in fielding but I was not so good in batting. I played like this for 1 year. Then my father told me I can go to coaching. In coaching I was the best in the first net (junior's group). The coach sent me to play with the players in the 2nd net. I was one among the best players there as well. The next day there was a tournament between our club and the other clubs. In the tournament I took 4 wickets for 12 runs and in the last ball the other club needed 1 run to win. In the last ball I threw the ball directly to the wicket and I was the man of the match. I was very thankful to my dad for training me so well.

I didn't know you were a star at cricket as well as table tennis, Samyak!
ReplyDeleteShame there's no cricket in France!
